1: Do you have laundry, restrooms and showers?

Yes. Restrooms and showers are included in your RV site fee. Cabins feature private restrooms, while other guests have access to our central bathhouse.

Laundry Facilities:

Wash: $5.00 – $6.50 (based on machine size)

Dry: $3.00 per cycle

Payment: Machines require quarters.

Pro-Tip: Quarters, detergent, and dryer sheets are all available for purchase in our Gift Shop.

2: What is your cancellation policy?

1. Standard Cancellation Fees
If you cancel your reservation more than 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival, the following flat administrative fees apply: RV Sites: $20 cancellation fee. Cabins: $45 cancellation fee.

2. Late Cancellation Penalties
Cancellations made closer to your arrival date are subject to the following penalties (based on your deposit, which is equal to your first night's stay): Within 14 Days of Arrival: 50% of your deposit is non-refundable. Within 48 Hours of Arrival: 100% of your deposit is non-refundable.

3. Reservation Modifications & Transfers
We are happy to assist you with changes to your plans. A flat $15 fee applies to any modification of an existing reservation, including: Changes to arrival or departure dates and changes to site or cabin types.

Person-to-Person Transfers: If you wish to transfer your reservation to another party, the original deposit stays with the booking. You must settle funds privately with the new guest, and the $15 fee will be applied to the updated reservation.

3: Can we fish in the river?

 You can call the North Coast California Department of Fish and Game and Low Flow Hotline for updated recorded information at (707) 822-3164 for information regarding sports fishing regulations.
The following are the current California 2025 Freshwater Sports Fishing regulations for our area located on the South Fork of the Eel River:
(C) South Fork Eel River from mouth to Rattlesnake Creek. Also see Low- Flow Restrictions, subsection 8.00(a).
Fourth Sat. in May through Mar. 31. Only artificial lures with barb less hooks may be used from the fourth Saturday in May through Sep. 30. Only barb less hooks may be used from Oct. 1 through Mar. 31.
Catch and release of Chinook Salmon, 2 hatchery trout or hatchery steelhead**, 4 hatchery trout or hatchery steelhead** in possession.
Apr.1 to fourth Fri. in May - Closed to all fishing  

4: Can we sleep in our car or put a tent up?

While we focus on providing excellent RV accommodations, we unfortunately do not offer tent camping at our location.
For tent camping in the breathtaking redwoods, we highly recommend exploring the campgrounds within Humboldt Redwoods State Park. You can check availability and make reservations online through the official California State Parks website: https://www.parks.ca.gov.

5: What time is check-in and check-out?

- Please stop at the Front Office upon arrival to collect your guest packet, keys, and park information.

- RV Sites: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM

- Cabins: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM

- Check-Out: 11:00 AM (all guests)

*Important Note on Late Arrivals:

- Please plan to arrive before 9:00 PM. The gates close at this time, and we do not offer after-hours check-in.

6: What is the longest amount of time we can stay?

The maximum stay for an RV sites and Cabins is 28 days. Long term stays are not available at Giant Redwoods RV.

7: Do you sell propane?

The closest propane (removable tank only) is Miranda, 6 miles south on the Avenue of the Giants. For Fixed Propane tanks, the closest is the Renner's in Garberville 20 minutes South off HWY 101

8: Do you have Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi service has been recently upgraded and is available throughout the park, access information will be provided at check-in.

9: What are your longest sites?

Big Rigs sites are available and range from 70 feet to 110 feet.

10: How far in advance can we book?

We can accommodate reservations up to two years in advance. We recommend booking early to guarantee a site during the busy season (April-Oct) and Holidays.

11: When booking online, if I have one vehicle and an RV, do I count it as one or two?

The site price includes your RV (Type A,B,C and Trailers) and your towed or towing vehicle. The extra vehicle charge is applicable when you have two or more additional vehicles.

12: Where's the nearest gas/diesel/grocery/dump station?

Redwood Market is within walking distance of Giant Redwoods RV for grocery staples. The Miranda Market is 6 miles south of us on the Avenue of the Giants and has gas and diesel, propane fill (removable canisters only), grocery, EV charging station and dump station. Dining options are available in Miranda and Phillipsville as well.

13: Do you allow use of your dump station/showers/river beach or other amenities for a fee?

We do not allow use of facilities, including the dump station, for non-registered guests.

14: Where are the tallest Redwood trees?

The tallest Redwood Trees are in the Redwood National Park and in the Humboldt Redwoods State Park which the Avenue of the Giants is part of. Stop by our office for a map of the State Park and a list of local hiking trails to see the trees.

15: How far are you from Highway 101/Avenue of the Giants?

We are one quarter mile from Highway 101 and the Avenue of the Giants.

16: What is the procedure for late arrivals and after hours walk ins?

Please note: We do not allow check-ins after 9:00 PM, as our gates will be closed.

17: What time does the gate close? Is there a code?

Our gates close at 9pm and open at 6am. No code available for late check-in.

18: Do you allow campfires?

We allow contained campfires in the site fire ring when there are no seasonal Burn Bans in effect. Due to the risks and regulations involved with moving firewood, the State Department of Agriculture and the US Forest Service ask that you "buy it where you burn it". We split, bundle and sell firewood on site for $10 per bundle. Fire season starts around August and at times they do ban fires all across Humboldt county. 

19: Can we swim?

We have a private beach located on the South Fork of the Eel River that is perfect for swimming. Best times for swimming are during Spring and early Summer. Occasionally in mid to late summer algae mats can form that may cause restrictions for pets and children, please call our office for inquiries regarding possible Humboldt County issued warnings.
