19: Do you allow campfires?

We do allow contained campfires in the site fire ring when there are no seasonal Burn Bans in effect. Due to the risks and regulations involved with moving firewood, the State Department of Agriculture and the US Forest Service ask that you "buy it where you burn it". We do sell firewood. Fire season starts around August and at times they do ban fires all across Humboldt county.

20: Can we swim?

We do have a swimming hole in our park, however, swimming is seasonal. Best times for swimming are during Spring and early Summer. Around August, sometimes we have algae alerts and it is not a safe time for swimming. During that time we wait for the rain to come to clear the river out.
